Our Shared Definition of Spirituality at St Augustine’s CE School is . . .

“Spirituality is something that touches us all. It is something much bigger than ourselves.  It can’t be seen or touched but it is something we feel; something that makes us human.  It is about awe and wonder, asking ultimate questions about ourselves, others, our world and ’beyond’ and looking beyond ourselves to serve and care for others and our world.”

We are hugely privileged in school to have such a diverse school community where we celebrate different cultures, religions and beliefs every day. Spirituality helps us to link all the things that we share as human beings and allows us the space to explore what we think and feel about our world as well as appreciating the 'big questions' of the world. Mrs Lee always puts up some big questions on the KS2 corridor for us to explore! They really make us think!
